Stories To Change The World 2012, June 21th

From the International Storytelling Network (RIC), we bring you this invitation to join us in the celebration Stories to Change the World, 21 June 2012. With this proposal we invite and call on storytellers, spontaneous tellers, librarians, teachers, parents, grandparents, young people, and all those with an interest in doing so, to tell stories that day in different public places and private venues: schools, libraries, schools, homes family, plazas, parks, cultural centers, theaters.

Last year there were more than 180 storytelling activities in 30 countries on five continents. We hope this year will be even bigger, and we hope stories help us build a better world. With these actions we will multiply the effect of this celebration we look for, telling stories to create a new reality, and begin to feel that we are building a better world through words and stories. Please, spread the news to your networks, friends, students and followers. The bilingual website for this celebration will be www.historiasparacambiarelmundo.com

How to participate: If you are going to tell stories on June 21, send us an e-mail to red@cuentacuentos.eu telling us what time and place you'll be telling, and we will post the information on the website of "Stories to Change the World" www.historiasparacambiarelmundo.com . Please, write us before June 14, so we can announce it online in advance.

In the e-mail addressed to red@cuentacuentos.eu you must indicate:
• Name of person or group to tell stories.
• Where will the perform be in (local name, street, city and country).
• At what time.

Besides, you can send us the next day, a photograph of the gig of that day 21, or a link to Youtube with your intervention. We´ll upload it on our website asap.

"Stories to Change The World" is a charity project born in the summer of 2010 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, organized by the International Storytelling Network (RIC), whose objective is the desire to intervene on behalf of all those who suffer discrimination of any kind worldwide.

Thank you for joining this proposal!

Invitation to join Stories to Change the World, June 21

International Storytelling Network brings you this invitation to join our celebration: Stories to Change the World on June 21, 2011, and thereafter, on June 21 each year.

We held to celebrate the birth of the International Storytelling Network and to disseminate and enhance the art storytelling with the theme “Stories to change the world”, on June 21. We held this idea in the last International Storytellers Symposium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2010.

The proposal is to invite and call upon all people who want to join in this celebration: Storytellers, librarians, teachers, parents, grandparents, young people and all those interested in telling stories in different locations that day: schools, libraries, schools, family homes, parks, cultural centers, theaters.

We will seek, among everyone, telling stories to create a new reality, and begin to feel that we are building a better world through the words and stories.

If you tell stories on June 21, send us an e-mail telling us where it will be. We´ll hang the information on the website of Stories to Change the World.

If you do not speak Spanish, it does not matter: all the pages on our website have a Google translator tool in eleven languages: English, Arabic, German, French, Italian, Greek, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.
