INDIA, Story Arts India Will Participate in Stories To Change The World on 21st June 2015


Telling stories as part of the global initiative #StoriesToChangeTheWorld - Inviting you all to join Deepa Kiran as she presents a Musical storytelling for the community. A journey into the lives of Bhakti poets and the Bhakti movement; unraveling through stories, music and movement.

As part of the global initiative of storyteller-members of International Storytelling Network, http://www.storiestochangetheworld.blogspot.in/, this event is being organized in Hyderabad by Story Arts India. 

This is an attempt to bring joy of the oral tradition, of sharing narratives with each other. Conceptualised as an evening of musical storytelling for the community, where young and old gather around the warmth of stories and music and relive the childhood memories of story time.

Deepa Kiran is the founder of Story Arts India. She is a storyteller, education consultant, writer and voice-over artist. She weaves in music and movement into her telling. She holds training programs for teachers on employing storytelling in the language classroom. She has performed at festivals such as Kala Ghoda Arts Festival Mumbai, and Hyderabad Literature Festival. Deepa worked with All India Radio, is an alumni of University of Hyderabad and EFLU.
